Norse Crampons

Spend the day at the forge making your own authentic reproduction Norse Crampons, as found at Hedeby and in the Mastermeier Tool Chest. We will craft the teeth, and pattern and cut the leather to sew at your leisure.

These crampons are excellent on a variety of slippery terrain. It feels like going from wheels to a tracked vehicle; you can clamber and stomp all over. They give excellent grip on every natural surface I have found to test them on, from algae and fallen trees, to slippery rocks, to ice and snow. Highly recommended.
